VISION & MISSION
We believe that every city deserves bold illumination—a community that moves in purpose, unity, and authenticity. Light Church is more than a service; it’s a movement birthed to shine hope, cultivating believers who reflect Jesus into neighborhoods, families, and workplaces.
PASTOR’S CALL
After years of ministry, a clear burden emerged: to launch Light Church as a vibrant expression of faith in Renton. It’s a home for the unseen, a space for creatives, families, seekers and anyone longing to discover their divine purpose. - Erskine Currie
📖 “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” – Matthew 5:14
OUR CORE VALUES AND PILLARS
Presence First
We believe the presence of God changes everything.
More than lights, music, or programs, we pursue Him first.
People Matter
Church is family, not an event.
We honor every person’s story, valuing people above preference or tradition.
Created to Create
Creativity is in our DNA.
We reflect God’s nature when we innovate, using art and expression to reveal timeless truth in fresh ways.
Open Hands, Open Hearts
Generosity is our posture.
We give freely of our time, resources, and energy to see lives transformed and our city impacted.
Building Beyond Us
Legacy is our assignment.
We are raising disciples who will carry the light of Christ for generations to come.
OUR HISTORY
In 2009, while serving in the military at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington, Erskine J. Currie began to sense God shaping his future for ministry.
By 2014, the call became clear—God instructed him to plant a church. For years, he faithfully served in local congregations, being equipped and refined for the work ahead.
In 2025, that assignment took a new step forward. What began as a simple Bible study grew into a community marked by revelatory teaching, the prophetic, deliverance, healing, and the manifest power of God through signs and wonders.
This life-changing movement is still unfolding today—impacting lives locally and online every week, as Light Church continues to carry the fire of its original calling.
